Hey hey, @Reinstallin! We know that having your Quest Link crash after one minute into gaming can really disrupt amazing gameplay while trying to enjoy VR gaming, so we would love to look further into this for you in order to get you back to a smooth VR experience and for us to get a better understanding, can you please answer the following questions listed below?

  • What error messages, if any, do you see?
      - If there are no errors, what is the exact behavior you are experiencing?
  • Has your Meta Quest link ever worked before?
  • When did you first notice this behavior?
  • What else changed when you first noticed the behavior?
      - Did any of the devices (phone, headset, or PC) receive any updates?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
      - If applicable and available, have you tried on another device?
  • You said you met the requirements. Can you please provide the specifications of your PC?
  • Does the headset work when it is not connected to a PC?
      - Please test basic functionality (navigate menus, launch, and use an app).
  • Are you connecting your USB cable to a USB 3 port?
  • What type of cable are you using? Try another compatible cable, if possible. For example:
  • Is an adapter or cable extender being used? If possible, remove any adapters from the headset.
  • How many other USB devices do you have connected to your PC?
      - Test with the bare minimum of USB devices connected to the PC (just a keyboard and mouse).
      - Try the cable with other USB 3 ports.

Once we can get this answered, we can know what step is best for us to take next. We can't wait to hear back from you soon!

Nothing changed. I like to keep my PC and oculus updated I have only my keyboard and mouse plugged all of my programs closed, using USB 3 I've tried all the troubleshooting options up to 2 years ago to this year

There are still some questions left unanswered. In order to narrow down troubleshooting steps, please provide the following:

  • Does the headset work when it is not connected to a PC?
  • What type of cable are you using?
  • Is an adapter or cable extender being used?
  • Does it work when connected through AirLink instead?

Also, generally, we need specific information on which steps you've provided to avoid asking you to do things that you may have already tried. With that being said, I'll jump into providing a couple steps that may help.

Repair the Meta Quest PC Application:

  1. Go to https://www.meta.com/quest/setup and click Download software.
  2. Select Repair.
    1. If Windows asks you if you’re sure you want to open this file, click Yes.
    2. If Windows Defender prompts Windows protected your PC, click More info and then click Run anyway.
    3. If your antivirus software restricts the file from opening, temporarily disable your AV and continue.
    4. Please remember to re-enable your antivirus software once you've completed the repair.
  3. Allow the repair process to run, download, and install.
  4. Launch the Meta Quest PC app.

You mentioned the PC and Oculus should be updated, but we are unclear if the latest Meta Quest drivers for the app are installed. In case any were missed:

  1. Close the Meta Quest PC app.
  2. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run command.
  3. Enter C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-drivers. (The file path may be different per user based on the install location.)
  4. Open oculus-driver.
  5. Open the Meta Quest PC app and then try to connect your headset again.

We hope these steps help! If not, please reach back out with the above requested information, and we can go ahead and look into other steps together!
