I've been trying for the past 2 - 3 days to get an Oculus Rift headset to detect the HDMI connection, but to no avail. Both the monitor and headset are connected to the GPU (the monitor using an HDMI to display port cable). Windows keeps identifying the headset as a second display which could be the problem (since I have been using a second monitor for some time now so maybe I somehow confused my computer), but I'm not sure. I have tried restarting the PC, tried using the motherboard HDMI port for the monitor, uninstalling then reinstalling the Oculus program, tried using a different monitor etc.
My specs are:
Windows 11
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
GPU - AMD Radeon RX 5500
Memory - 16GB
All my drivers are up to date, including graphics card drivers and USB drivers.
I want to note that my brother's computer, which has similar specs to mine, does not seem to have this issue and can detect the HDMI cord just fine.
