Oculus quest 2 mic not working via Link after updates

As usual, after an Oculus Quest 2 update, something is broken. This time, it's the microphone. It stopped working via Air Link/Link. When I use Discord, play games, or use the Sound Recorder, no sound is coming through the microphone. Here's what I've tried:

  • Reinstalled the Oculus app.
  • Reinstalled the Oculus audio device with drivers.
  • Restarted the Oculus headset.
  • Tried using headphones and without them.
  • Checked all settings (Oculus headset settings, Oculus app settings, Windows settings), but it doesn't work.
  • Tried toggling "Allow exclusive access" in Windows sound properties, etc.

Nothing seems to help.

Hey there, @schukinpeter. Thank you for your patience during this busy holiday season. We really do appreciate it. We know communication is key when it comes to playing games with others, and a working mic is a big part of that. Great job on the steps you have already tried. With that being said, we would like to share some steps with you that might alleviate the issue for you. Here are those steps:

 

 To perform a factory reset using your phone:

 

  1. Open the Meta Quest app on your phone.
  2. Tap Menu then tap Devices.
  3. Tap the headset connected to your phone.
  4. Tap Headset Settings then tap Advanced Settings.
  5. Tap Factory Reset and then Reset.

To perform a factory reset using the headset:

 

  1. Turn off your headset.
  2. Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
  4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
