Oculus remote stopped working

So, my remote stopped working a couple of days ago. I changed the battery to no avail.
I "forgot" the device and tried to add it, but when I do so my HMD disconnects.
I also ran a full setup but with no luck.
Any ideas? I'd like to try everything before I post a supportticket. I have no confidence in Oculus support.

I'd recommend contacting Oculus Support.

I have now, but what does it say when your customers want nothing to do with your support? I guessing I will get no help, no response yet 24h later

Support is responsive and helpful. It's just that around product launches the queue becomes large (so slower response) but in general it should be no problem.

Well, I got an answer finally. The support ignored my initial ticket information and suggested things I had already done. How can you defend them time after time in the threads?
Isn't it better to acknowlege that you have a problem with support and fix it?
Love your product but hate your P.R

As someone who has worked in support it is frequently a good idea to get the users to redo the basic troubleshooting steps even if they claim they've done them.  Many times they've done them wrong or flat out lied.

"Have you closed the application and reopened it?"  "Yes, I have!"  "Could you do it again?" "That's stupid, it's not going to fix...Oh, that fixed it."

"Have you restarted your PC?"  "Yes!  I've done it a bunch of times already!"  "Could you do it again?"  "No, I'm not going to waste my time. " "Just one last time..."  "Fine...*Puts computer to sleep instead of restart*"
