The title should be self-explanatory; My oculus software is detecting my USB 3.0 cable(the Anker one that was recommended before the official link cable) and USB 3.0 port as USB 2.0. I've gone and tried to update my drivers, including uninstall/reinstall, to no avail. Any suggestions for a fix? For reference, both my Quest and PC are running the latest versions, and my PC is link compatible.
I have the same issue on my new Quest 3. will only register as usb 2.0. don't know what to do. might need to return it...other devices register as 3.0 like the old rift sensors...updated all ailenware drivers...os...no difference. tried listed high frequency usb 3.0 cables...no difference. surprising the quest 3 looks great on a supposed 2.0 connection. just no audio...
It's pretty predictable that more Quest 3 users getting this issue because as I've said, it's happened with Occlus devices in the past. It's possibly their usb interface with their driver. We have to wait for a magic chipset driver or windows update or just reinstall Windows to fix it but it will come back after a time on your new OS.

@MetaQuestSupport I also seem to have this issue, after trying all methods mentioned here (except reinstalling windows). I specifically bought a high quality usb 3 cable (that promises super speed 10gbp/s and a 4k 60hz as a display port alternative) This cable is plugged in to the motherboard usb C port labeled ss10. When viewing usb tree viewer. It is said to be a usb3 port, pluging in the cable to an external hard drive the connection stays at usb 3, and when it is plugged in to the quest 3 it instantly drops to usb 2, so this issue has to be with the quest. Probably the software or driver side, I am scared to spend another 50$ for a link cable that is advertised as a link cable and not as a high quality usb c cable, because I dont think that should make a difference but maybe it does, I haven’t seen others mentioning that their usb 3 cable is branded as a link cable or just as a high quality cable, either way something needs to be done here!
