Oculus touch trigger broken after one evening

My right trigger button is stuck, I can pull it back out with my finger nail but when I press it back it just jams back in.

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Numbers values as 50% have no real meaning unless you put them into light on what was said here - tehy said they had one or two stories over the same thing - that doesn't mean a 50% increase - % increase of what? How many had this problem? I still have mine and never had problems with - so it can't be 100% failure rate going on here or else this thread still be larger that what it is. It sucks I know how you feel, but at the same time - you have the option to return it back to best buy to get your money back or get a replacement - shit happens when it comes to making things. It doesn't matter how much it cost to make it or what you spent - lemons happen. At least everyone sounds like they're willing to work with you on getting it replace if nothing else.

Last bpost was a long time ago - but in 2017 - that's quite a while now. I don't understand your point.

So... just got my brand new Oculus Rift last week Thursday - and after 4 days of light play (seriously, just The Lab bow and arrow game and some messing around in the Oculus house) my right controller's front trigger button is exhibiting all the same stuff mentioned in this thread.

I'm rather disappointed to say the least.

Sent a message to support but from the sounds of what people are saying here this means that the onus is on me to return it and then wait. This should not be the case when its clear that they have a very real issue here- and for me to receive a brand new product and then have to deal with this extra hassle is a bit ridiculous. They should send me a replacement along with the courier who collects this defective controller - its the least they could do if they actually cared about customer service.

We don't have a system currently to do advanced replacements, though it is something we continue to look at if we can find a way to make it work. The current process will require you to ship back the broken hardware, and it will be checked first, then we can issue a replacement. While it's understandably a longer process than desired, it can typically be completed in around 8 - 12 business days (sometimes sooner, depending on location), so that shouldn't discourage you from contacting us. Thanks.

I have one of the original sets of touch that first came out and mine have been excellent.  My brothers rift is about a year more recent than mine was and his controllers seem to go to sleep more often than mine.

I just got my rift yesterday, have played for probably 3-4 hours, and noticed that my right trigger is a bit spongy and wobbly. Not sure if it's the same issue as posted above (the rubber pad coming loose), in my case it looks like the pin which holds the button into the case has moved and is now only holding on 1 side so that the trigger is lopsided.

Not going to be impressed if when I RMA it I need to wait 2-3 weeks to use a brand new purchase, it's not really acceptable for a premium product like the rift.

I have the exact same issue. This is after the first extended use of the product. Really disappointing.

Yeah, it's quite disappointing that they never bothered fixing this design flaw. Might as well just stop putting in those rubber dampeners, if it's beyond their capabilities to make them stick ffs.
