Im not even trying to get help anymore, Im just here to say **bleep** YOU OCULUS. I was so excited to play all the steam vr games and everything, but I just cant, because your **bleep**ing oCulUs lInk doesnt link **bleep**. Everytime ive tried to connect it to my pc, It took about 30 minutes, and then crashed about 10 minutes later. And now, It wont work even after an hour of trying everything i can. Itd be such a simple fix on your end, but no... This single thing made me hate this whole company, even tho i really love the quest 2 itself. F You.

works perfectly fine with my computer. Post like this are suspect because you don't post specs and what you tried.

Link is pretty much automatic... so if it's not working then the by far most likely issue is with your PC. Oculus can't really help you with your computer so there's not much they can do beside tell you to try a different cable and then try a different computer.

"crashed about 10 minutes later"
So it was working for a while?
If so, it's your PC that's the problem. Oculus can sell you a headset and offer support for it, but there's no way they would assume the responsibility of making your PC work properly.
I do IT support. What you're asking is unreasonable.

I have a completely normal pc with the gtx 1660. The problem 100% isnt because of my pc.

When it crashes, look at clock. Open windows event viewer. Find when it crashed and look at the error reports. Usually conflicting software. But I agree they are not helpful.

There's really no such thing as a "completely normal PC"... the downside of a diverse ecosystem (Apple have "completely normal pc's"... Wintel don't).
Statistically it's (I'd guess conservatively) about 95% likely that it IS your PC or Cable given the information you have shared. There's a remote possibility the Quest 2 may be faulty... but if your Q2 is completely vanilla (you've not modded it) it's FAR more likely to be the PC. You can verify the Q2 by connecting it to a different machine... if you're sure it's the Q2 then that's what I'd suggest.
The more likely to provide a solution path would be to reinstall the Oculus app, try different USB ports... try the air link if you can, swap cables... and if none of those work then try a different machine entirely... check event logs for any USB related events.

1660 is on the low end of what i consider passible for compatibility reasons. So the problem is your pc not optimized for the situation.
It may work for a bit, but over times as temps and power draw rise performance is degraded.
Heres what i suggest
72-80 hz (90 and 120 are too high for that card)
.7 to .9 render res in oculus app
125 encode over link cable
150 dynamic encode for air link
set textures in game to medium
close any external apps not related to quest steamvr or the game playing
update drivers if you haven't done so
update windows 10 DO NOT UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 11
also 1660 was good enough for quest 1, but it lacks the umph for quest 2.

"But I agree they are not helpful." --> what do you expect them to do? Scrub your Windows Event viewer for you? Surely you cannot expect them to support every possible PC hardware permutation!?
"I have a completely normal pc" --> Ok, what is your motherboard? What are the USB 3 specifications on it? What is your Link cable, what brand? Is it truly a USB 3 cable? Does it have the full-speed specs Link needs? My point is if the USB 3 implementation on your motherboard are sub-par, or if you have the wrong USB drivers, just that can make your computer crash after a while. Not knowing might not be your fault either. My current PCVR build has a Dell motherboard in it and it works great. My previous motherboard, not so much.
Typically, when things "work for a while" then crash, it often is bad drivers or bad hardware. Memory leaks in crappy drivers for example, will do exactly what you described. I write software for a living, trust me.
To be honest, making Link and especially AirLink work properly requires some pretty steep PC and networking knowledge. Oculus never said that PCVR is "plug and play". Why would they? That would be an insane statement to make.
