OculusVR.exe waking PC up

Hey guys,

I noticed that my PC keeps getting wakedup since I own the Rift. I checked in cmd with the command "powercfg lastwake" to find out what's the source for the wakeup and it showed me the OculusVR.exe. How can I prevent the application to wakeup my PC?

Mine too, actually.  And I think it keeps the monitor from going to sleep too, but I can't confirm that.  A little annoying but not enough that I've looked into it too much.

I think it wakes it up if it detects movement from the HMD. It seems like mine did at least. Are you maybe bumping the desk/table it's resting on? Just a thought.

As far as keeping the monitor on, I've noticed that my computer won't go to sleep if I leave the Oculus software open. Not a huge deal, but just a minor inconvenience.

No, not that I know of. I leave my desk with the PC being in standby, observe it a few seconds longer if it boots up again and leave. A few minutes later I come back and it's on again.

I'm definitely having this issue and I know for sure it's something to do with the Oculus runtime:

powercfg -lastwake
Wake History Count - 1
Wake History [0]
Wake Source Count - 1
Wake Source [0]
Type: Wake Timer
Owner: [PROCESS] \Device\HarddiskVolume4\Program Files (x86)\Oculus\Support\oculus-home\OculusVR.exe
Owner Supplied Reason: none

You could always unplug the headset when you aren't using it.  I know that's not the most intuitive solution, but it should prevent your PC from waking.

Getting down on the floor and unplugging my Rift every time I want to go into sleep mode may or may not prevent the problem; if there's something wrong with the runtime I might have to close that as well. Regardless, what Flusher1 found is a bug and it needs to be fixed.

It is definitely the rift software, it used to be ok if you just shut down the OR program, but for some reason now, the program leaves a background process running that wont let your PC sleep.  You have to stop it in Task MNGR, which is a pain.  It's called "OVRServer_X64.exe"  unfortunately if you stop it, you have restart your PC to get the rift to work again.  If someone has a fix please post it!
