Hi,
I bought Quest 3 from the Meta store on the 5th of March using PayPal.
The same day it was cancelled without any reason however money was not released.
PayPal states that this is pending Meta action as they have not canceled it. Otherwise, I need to wait 30 days to get my money back due to no action from Meta.
Support did not respond, and 48 hours passed.
I'm not willing to keep my money in the air due to the fact that:
1. Meta canceled the order without any reason
2. Meta is not taking any action on the pending payment
Has anyone had a similar issue?

Greetings all! I just wanted to share an update from our internal team. It seems that the issues encountered are due to a pre-authorization hold. PayPal needed to ensure that the funds were available for us to take, but since we canceled the order, the funds were never taken. It is advisable to reach out to the payment provider to inquire about releasing the hold, although you might have to wait for the pre-authorization to expire, which usually takes around 30 days with PayPal. Unfortunately, there is no option to cancel the authorization request. If you're still experiencing any further issues, please send a PM to @MetaQuestSupport. They'll be able to take a closer look!

Hi. Exactly the same problem.
Meta - escalate the problem and make it right by your customers. Not only you have locked our funds for basically a month, but you also according to the eu laws you cannot simply cancel the order that was already confirmed and paid for.
It is even more frustrating as contact with the support is limited - also no response since 2 days.

Similar trouble. I wrote 3 mails, and did not get any response. Money taken, without product, and answer.

Additionally, I received an e-mail today asking for a photo of my ID card because they have a problem with my address xDDDDD
What next? shoe number? scan of the electricity bill? to refund your own money?

Your support has not responded to emails sent for a couple of days, our money is still blocked.
This is not acceptable.

Meta, sorry, but are you joking? I bought a quest 3 with tuesday's discount, and i paid by paypal. I recived a information that you noticed a problem with paying, but you have fixed this and I dont have to worry about it. In the evening I recived a mail about that you cancelled my order, because you noticed a problem with paying. U said you have fixed it! That was a lie? And why you didn't let me know about it? I could pay with another payment method. Additionally, you said u didnt received my money, but I paid and i dont have now 2 000 PLN! I wrote a mail to you on Tuesday (case number redacted), and you didn't answer me. I saw your replies to other users about similar problems, and u dont even try to help us! You have (or paypal, i dont care about this, im a consumer) our money, and canceled orders. Its illegal. Its illegal that you cancelled order with no real reasons and its illegal that you keep our money, and its illegal that you are so lazy with answering us. Im waiting for answer for my mail, and I hope that the problem will be solved ASAP. I love quest 2 and your products, but your supports and ordering have a lots of problems. I dont want a refund. I want this device I ordered. You cant cancel orders with no reason. Its illegal under polish law, UE law, and under meta statute too. If you do not take it seriously, the matter will be referred to the consumer ombudsman. There were many cases such this. You can check how they ended. I'm a lawyer and I'm not going to back down.

Why this topic is totally ignored by Meta support team?
Is it inconvenient to answer? My money are held by you and you don't even bother to answer either here or to the email I’ve sent.
