Before I come to any conclusion, I would like to ask: firstly, is it normal for Oculus Quest 3 to be very warm when it's charging? Secondly, is it normal for the Quest 3 to be warm when it's powered off but connected to a PC? Lastly, is it normal for it to become excessively warm (to the point where I have to take it off because it hurts my eyes) after only playing for about 20 minutes? I don't receive any overheating error messages, but the warmth is causing discomfort to my eyes.

Same thing happens to me, higher resolution with higher processing power = more heat, and they didn't give the quest 3 any upgraded cooling solutions, The charging getting hot is annoying.

Same issue. Using climb to and after about 10 minutes it starts beeping saying to take it off that it’s getting too hot? I’ve never had that happen? I usually connect it through PC can quest three not run on its own without getting too hot? Very disappointing
Your VR may do this due to high voltage when charging or Processing uses such as the graphics and FPS. My VR is doing this after one hour of gaming. So I can assure you this is normal, if you get any signs (visual) tell Meta. The quest 3 is perfectly safe as it's the future of VR gaming. I felt it like three times hotter than Q2 already in the setup process, lol. Honestly, there are plenty of reasons to return this thing. This is just one.
