For the past month I continue to have issues with downloading past titles. I have many great games I would like to play that state "Sorry we can't install ____ Please visit Oculus Support. I have done fresh installs, installed on a separate computer. Reset my network. Nothing more I can do on my end. I also completed past support tickets submitting logs with no resolution.
Anyone else going through this? I hope Meta updates the storefront and fixes these issues. Several hundred paid purchases since 2016 and most do not download. The storefront also has an issue where you are unable to download past titles (at least for me). It says get in text but no button to obtain, and no button on the actual page to purchase or download. Thank you. I am wondering if others are experiencing the same. I hate to make additional purchases and have them abandoned in the future with no ability to download. I will have to look towards other platforms if this isn't resolved.
There are several people in this thread complaining about this rockband vr download problem and haven't gotten any help from oculus for months. @colorline4 found a workaround to download the game but that way he doesn't have the dlcs... it's not an official tool and of course far from being the perfect solution but at least you would have the game.
October of 2024 and this service is still plagued by the same problems. I lost a drive and have hundreds of dollars of games that I can't download and play.
This is the reason why you go Steam VR for PC titles now a day, Meta support did never fix this issue for Rift (PC VR) titles (Meta Quest PC-VR today) Even if the cross buy titles did drag you to buy from Meta/Oculus, less titles do appear for their own PC VR store!
Yes problem is still there and people did give up to get support from Meta/Oculus about it!
Some titles start to download but stops for unknown reason and won’t install!
Did try all advices from Meta support deleting, re installing, disabling AV and more but still the same issue!
Would be great if they could add some diagnostic functionality on the client side as it seems to be the same titles that fails over and over again!
My feeling is that it’s with Metas own file servers, cache or some regional stuff that fails.
It’s only the Meta PC client that has this issue and it’s mostly the same titles that fails to download fully to be installed while other always work!
Maybe a clear download cache, could be a useable function on the client and explicit download monitoring/logging function!
Or maybe it’s time to start digging in to this again and run Wireshark to see what’s happening!
(I’m i Sweden so I guess my download is from some European servers.)
