Once I disconnect my Soundblaster X4 USB Sound card from the PC, the remote desktop session works fine. If I select the audio output device to anything other than Soundblaster (for instance, selecting Oculus Virtual Audio Device), then the session also continues. Once Soundblaster audio output is set to primary, the session will immediately disconnect.
A giveaway that it wasnt network was that the remote desktop session would begin, and I'd get <1s of video streaming, and then it would die. So I tried disconnecting all of my USB devices, and wouldnt you know it, the video stream continued with audio capture.
On Windows, the Meta Quest Remote Desktop software 100% needs to capture audio output, or it will crash.
