I recently noticed that Meta removed the 120hz toggle in the mobile meta home settings.
I thought, "ok, as long as i can still select it in the meta link app on PC all is well" Unfortunately all is not well. Selecting 120hz mode in the meta PC link app has no effect and the headsets refresh rate will not go above 90. Tested with oculus debug tool on screen stats.
Why was this option removed? How do we play PCVR in 120hz mode?
In order to use 120hz mode for PCVR, you first needed to enable the toggle switch within the meta mobile home before connecting to link and PC. With this option gone, using 120hz mode on the PC link app has no effect.

Hey there, @dtdman420! While you'll no longer see the toggle option on Meta Quest 3, 120 Hz may be supported. For example, if a game is programmed to support 120 Hz, it can run at that frame rate when requested. Some games can allow users to manually select the refresh rate, and if built into the game's user interface, 120 Hz could be an option to choose from.
On the Meta Quest 3, regardless of the games installed, the option to toggle on/off 120 Hz will not be visible on the Meta Quest 3 setting panels. However, as for the Meta Quest 2, the feature is still visible.
Please feel free to reach out if there are any more questions or concerns. Thank you!

Hello again, @dtdman420. Thank you for reaching out with your additional concerns. After some digging into things, we do see that these steps would only work in the standalone versions of the apps. We attempted to find the option, but found that this is something we need to get to our engineers so they can look into it more. Please visit this page and follow the steps for submitting this feedback for the Oculus PC software, so they can investigate this further. We appreciate your patience and understanding here.

I also noticed this issue as I finally decided to test if my PC can handle 120hz mode - even though I selected 120hz mode in Meta Quest Link app - all games ran at 90hz. I did do a support ticket about it so hopefully it will be looked at.
