the issue atm as diagnosed sofar by @TomCgcmfc and myself in AirLink and in Virtual Desktop upon starting the hands disappear. in Virtual Desktop opening the dash brings em back (but this has since v55 had Issues ocassionally breaking vr view) but as per Tom's statements this does not work for AirLink.

@cael.thunderwing Thanks for starting this thread mate. This is what I also found;
The only problems I found so far with v57ptc using Air Link is my hands do not show up with the Rift store Toybox app and this makes it impossible to play. If I press the Oculus button it pauses the game, shows up the Rift dashboard menu, and hands appear again but when I press the oculus button again to resume the game they disappear again.
Fortunately it's not something I play very often and just use it to test controller tracking. I have filed a bug report for that. Happens with both my Q2 and QPro. Also, Toybox is the only game I've tried so far that does this.

i should add for me thru Virtual Desktop, this is Occuring in Any PC-VR title after connecting. (thier own Support discord has been notified and atm theres nothing that can be done as it seems a 100% an issue w/ the PTC)

@cael.thunderwing Yikes, that’s a big VD downer mate. I’m glad I’m using Air Link so I only have found the one rift store app with this problem so far.
I’ve only ever used Toybox to help test out controller tracking. VD has never tracked very well with that app, even with their latest versions.
I hope this issue gets resolved soon. Otherwise many VD fanboys are going to find out how good Air Link really is, as long as they make an effort to learn how to properly use the oculus desktop pc app device settings and ODT settings.
Still probably more of a personal preference thing but as a very long VD user (since Q1) I prefer Air Link colors and better compatibility, especially with my VivePort apps. Plus it allows me to use the oculus tray tool (OTT) to create game profiles to fine tune each game’s settings. You can’t use OTT or ASW ctrl+num# keyboard commands with VD because it doesn’t have the official Oculus sdk, just VD’s hacked version. Still, each to their own imho. I’m still happy to have VD as a backup, just in case, lol!

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback on this with v57 PTC. I'll get this over to our engineering team so that they're aware. I can't guarantee it'll be resolved within v57 but they will be working on it.
Thank you!

not seeing it resolved in v57 means absolutely no PC-VR w/ the Quest 2/Pro this should be a priority. @TheAntiSocializer i can almost garuntee theres a large part of the Userbase that use their Quest's for PC-VR. and since theres no Downgrading, that mean no PC-VR till when-ever it'd be fixed.

@cael.thunderwing Maybe check with the Virtual Desktop discord channel and see if G.Godin has managed to do a quick fix. He’s often very good at doing this.
Alternatively, maybe switch your PCVR over to Link or Air Link. Both of those are working fine with all apps I’ve tried so far except poor old Toybox, lol!
Sorry but that’s all I can suggest you try for now mate in order to at least make most PCVR playable. Good luck and cheers.

I just got a new ptc v57 update today (v57.0.0.201.669) and on my PC app public beta (v57.0.0.210.153). The controllers are still invisible (but I can guess where they are and sort of use them) in the rift store app Toybox. Other apps I've tried seem ok.

I am back with some good news - They've begun prioritizing this issue a bit further so I do appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation thus far. As I get more updates, I'll be reaching back out!

OK, I got a new PTC v57 update today on my Quest Pro; version 57.0.0.236.669
All tracking features in the Quest home now seem to be working fine (face, eye, and hand tracking). Thanks meta and cheers.
Edit; just a couple of minor bugs; my pro controllers and avatar body/arms still seem to take about 30 seconds to display properly when I first startup. Also, in PCVR/Air Link, the controllers still do not show up on the Rift store app Toybox. Neither are the end of the world for me but I have filed bug reports on both of these.
