Hello,
This is a cross post from my post in the PCVR forum from 16/2/24. As reported by others, a version of the v63 PTC (at the time, an update released on 15/2/24) caused a crash to desktop when running Digital Combat Simulator. Switching off the public test channel fixed the problem.
Now that v63 is being released as stable, has this issue been addressed?

Here is a link from a DCS Moderator BIGNEWY explaining the plans DCS has for the crashing issues after the Meta Quest Link App for PC update to 63.0.0

The DCS update has been posted. I'm interested to hear if it fixes everyone's issues. I am still functional with the workaround posted may pages ago. I'm hesitant to allow changes until I hear success.

here's my issue, when i first bought my quest3 it worked great for DCS world, now whenever i try to fly DCS with the headset i get main menu screen, i can select the mission i want to fly i.e. training in the p-51 click on fly and it gives me a message DCS has crashed, I have sent many crash reports. This only happens with the headset, if I select DCS without the headset it fly's just fine, except I have only 1 monitor. also this is the standalone sim. any help to figure this out would be hugely appreciated. PLEASE HELP.

Hey @thebestbradley! Thanks for posting your PTC issue on the forums, I'd love to flag it with our team to review some information and see what they provide for us. To make sure I have everything right, could you answer these questions:
Along with that, could you try to reboot the headset with these steps:
If that doesn't work out, I suggest checking your Cloud Backup to make sure your games are synced and then try a Factory Reset (can be done through the previous steps).

Hey there. @arrow11crash! I appreciate you bringing this up. I'd be happy to reach out to our engineers so they can look into it further. In the meantime, can you let me know if this happened with other Quest based games as well, or was it just this one game?

Howdy, no worries. I don't play any other games, just DCS and only via the hard Link/OpenXR (not Steam).

Thanks for providing that information! I looked into this further, and it looks like the game just isn't fully supported to run on Quest devices, which would explain why it's crashing. I found a link that explains this further as well as what to do whenever it crashes. I hope this helps!

With all due respect, that is complete and utter nonsense, and reveals you as an AI. DCS has worked on Oculus devices since the original Rift and I and a community of thousands have been running DCS on the whole gamut of Meta devices. It worked perfectly fine up until the Feb 15th PTC v63 update. We could do without the gaslighting please, it's extremely offensive. We're not a bunch of idiots.
