Problems with secondary accounts began with v74 and have not been resolved in v76 so far. We've experienced these issues and so have several others. Here is a list:
-the UI completely disappears and all you can see is the passthrough feed. Pressing the meta button evokes the sound of the home bar appearing but nothing actually appears. No UI or game works at all when this happens and a reboot isn't guaranteed to fix it. The only UI that ever appears is the shutdown box if you hold the power button long enough for it to appear.
-the permissions dialog is broken on secondary accounts. This is an issue we first came across while playing Orion Drift where hundreds of users (maybe more) have also reported the issue. When a game requests a permission, even if it is *already* approved in settings, the grey grid background appears as if it needs to approve permissions but no permission dialog appears. From this point there's no way to do anything on the headset without a forced reboot (holding down the power button).
-secondary accounts will often not appear in the list of selectable accounts when you boot the headset and no "switch account" button appears. In this case, you have to log into the primary account first and then switch profile.
-the Meta Calling app crashes immediately when switching to a secondary account. A standard crash UI appears and asks you to close the app before you can do anything else
For us the V76 situation has improved compared to V74. My wife is second account on the second headset. That seems to be stable. Fingers crossed. No need for us to switch between accounts. Menus appear after playing a game.
I can confirm, that the usage of secondary accounts got horribly worse with V74. I suspect some pop-up regarding Horizon Worlds that tries to start, then recognizes, that there is no boundary set and then it fails and you just see the passthrough.
While you're fixing this, just get rid of this annoying "choose account" screen that pops up, every time you put on the headset!
Did the controller/hand-outline glitch get resolved for your wife on the second headset? We have two headset, im device owner on both and wifes profile on the second headset. If this got improved or fixed on v76 i would not mind to upgrade.
Hi, we have the same configuration. We did not experience a controller glitch in V74 so difficult to say if this is resolved in V76. V74 was unworkable for second account, menus disappeared, headset restarts etc. V76, for us, is back to normal. Everything works fine. If I were you I would give the update a try.
