Pairing Controller after replacement

Hello,

A few weeks ago, I had an issue with my Quest 3 headset, which I returned for repairs. I’ve since received a refurbished headset, but I kept the original controllers.

Currently, I’m stuck on the startup screen, which asks me to pair the controllers, but I can’t get it to work.

According to the instructions on the website, I need to unpair or pair the controllers using the app on my phone. However:

  • The old headset was removed due to a factory reset, so I no longer have access to unpair the controllers.

  • The new headset isn’t linked to the app yet, so I can’t pair the controllers either.

I’ve also tried using the menu + B (or menu + Y) button combination, but the headset still doesn’t recognize the controllers.

  • The headset is fully charged (100%).

  • The controller batteries have been replaced.

  • I’ve factory reset the headset again using volume down + power.

Thank you for your help!

Thank you! I just had a headset replaced and was at a loss when the controllers wouldn't work. Glad to know it was just a matter of patience and keeping the headset screen awake for a little while.
