So has anyone actually found a resolution to the fact that when trying to add a child account and use card to verify your an adult that meta payment setup is done in such a way that UK banks will not authorise payment?
And I will I would be grateful NOT to be advised to contact customer service or provide ID to prove my age as I have been there previously few months ago with meta requesting age verification on a previous quest account spent 3 months going back and fourth providing numerous valid IDs as stated on their website, video holding number sent via email, providing alternative email and even made the mistake of linking my 12 year old Facebook account in the hopes that would prove I was an adult, just to have them all locked and lose precious photos of my daughter who died unexpectedly during this time and even after explaining this was told it was being looked into to just to never hear anything again. I would just throw the quest 3 in the bin if I had a choice but my son bought it with his Christmas and birthday money back in January this year and has literally only been able to use for about 2 months until accounts were locked and at the moment it is useless as I can't even get a new account on it for him. it has been nothing but a ridiculous and stressful experience.
I've just read your post and it's heartbreaking. The grief of losing your daughter, losing irriplacable photos and memories and the stress of that ridiculous age verification process. I know Meta Store Support isn't very cooperative, because I'm having similar problems with them. Good luck and keep your spirit up!
