1. If I activate parental control, can I limit the WIFI connection to the child's device? 2. Is it possible to skip the stage of defining the playing field and determining the height of the floor, so that the device will automatically define the boundaries in the place where the device was activated?
Hey there @naomigr, we see you have questions about parental controls, and about the guardian. We understand how important these are for you, and would love nothing more than you assist you on the matter!
For parental controls, there is no way currently to limit Wi-Fi connection, but we can provide the current options, and how to get to them. You can also check our article for other topics with parental control.
From the headset:
Open the Meta Quest mobile app.
Tap Menu (icon with the 4 white, and 3 black lines).
Tap Parental Supervision.
Tap on your teen’s account.
Tap the gear icon to access parental supervision settings.
From the website:
Go to Family Center and log in to your Meta account.
Click on your teen’s account.
You’ll be able to see your teen’s activity in VR and adjust your parental supervision settings.
Click Supervision settings to:
Block apps.
Block Meta Quest link.
Block developer mode.
Block social features.
Disconnect from your teen.
Now for the guardian's floor setting, can you please attempt the following:
Press the Oculus icon on your right Touch or Touch Pro controller to pull up your universal menu.
Hover over the clock on the left side of the universal menu. When Quick Settings appears, select it to open the Quick Settings panel.
Select Settings (gear icon) in the top right corner.
Select Guardian (icon with segmented outlines and a dot in the middle) from the left menu.
Select the "Clear Guardian History".
Then choose "Set floor level" and adjust as you deem fit.
