Hi, I have made an account for my 12 year old to play his own Quest 3. He has not been able to download any games as he seems to be required to ask permission for anything, even PEGI 3 games, and I have not been able to grant access. I can see his requests in my notifications on the mobile app but when I touch one, the app freezes. I have updated the app and have restarted the phone, same thing happens. Thanks in advance for any advice.

We are having the same issue. Spent a lot of money on the VR and the app freezes when I try to review my son's requests. He can't play anything. Supposedly amazing technology and we can't use it because the app freezes up.

Hey there, @Lumcbride and @Astephan8. Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention! We definitely want to allow your children to continue exploring VR with your granted titles, so we'd love to get to the bottom of this!
To look into this deeper, we'd like to confirm the following:

I have the same problem as above. Two headsets bought for Christmas gifts and trying to set them up I have had the exact same experience as @Lumcbride and @Astephan8 starting to worry I will have to return as they won't be working for Christmas.
In answer to your questions in order (from my experience)

Everything is up to date on mobile and headset and wifi is absolutely fine.

I have to admit I was not at all surprised to have issues. My older son has the quest 2 and I remembered we had all kinds of problems with that, so I had warned that it might take a while to get it set up.
In the end we gave up on the account and made a new one for a 13 year old. We then spent around 5 hours trying to set it up again before deciding on a factory reset. After that it all went fine and no issues since. Disappointing that it doesn't just work as it should, and this option is only ok for me as my son was almost 13 anyway, I hope it gets resolved soon.

I also have everything updated and connected between mobile, wifi and the unit. I receive the requests to review a game and, on one occasion, was able to approve - confirming a potential for a working connection between the three. Any/all other app requests still cause the app to freeze. My son is also currently using an account for over 13, in a very limited capacity, and I'm not particularly happy about it. One of the best parts of having the Parental Control is being able to relax my "hovering" when it comes to what he might be accessing. I still can't believe that this type of technology, for what it costs, can be rendered useless because of a bad app and that no one has a working solution yet.

Having the same issues with Quest 2. My son got it for his birthday yesterday and hasn’t been able to do anything on it. Quite ridiculous. Plus the app is horrible. About ready to return it.

Is this something we are able to do as a group, or are we expected to do this individually? Sorry, I'm not completely aware of how these threads and systems work... As a collective problem, I'm not sure why we would start to take an individual course at this point. I think I would prefer to keep the thread active and work to troubleshoot, and hopefully come a solution, collectively. Additionally, remaining on the thread gives not just us, but others in the future, access to both this issue and a possible resolution.
