I have an issue with the pass-through and SteamVR. I can enable the pass-through and configure the chromakey settings. I then start the virtual desktop and the passthrough then shows the room environment. It looks like the desktop is layered over the outside world. If I start a VR application, I get the game space with the game, the virtual desktop and the outside world, all at the same time. It is as though the chromakey element is being ignored and the pass-through is just turned on without any controls. I have this with Reality Mixer and ChromaTrackOverlay. both with the same results. I have factory reset the headset and reloaded SteamVR and Chromatrack to no avail.
Has anybody seen this or has a fix for this? Thanking you in anticipation

Hi, I have the exact same problem which is very frustrating. I reached out to the developer of Reality Mixer via the steam discussions forum with no response. Has anyone found out how to fix this? I purchased the Quest 3 because it had a half decent passthrough that I could use to see my peripherals when using MSFS 2020. The photo attached showed a previous problem of having grey boxes, not I can get see through boxes but also the whole room not just the chromakey boxes.

Hi Scott, As you may see I replied to Bob's post and have the exact same problem. Any clues?
PS not sure why I am showing as a guest when I logged in with my Meta name and pw.

I still don't have an answer, I have abandoned virtual desktop for the moment as steam link works well ( with no mixed as there isn't a chromakey element, yet). Hopefully when msfs 2024 comes out, perhaps we can wish that mixed reality is baked in or steam link get a chromakey element.

Ah, that is no good, I wonder what the problem is, the Youtube videos all seem quite straight forward but I cannot reproduce their happy outcome. I will continue problem solving and post back here if I find anything out. Thanks for replying so quickly. Andrew

Had the same issue, but managed to fix it. Here's how.
1. Open Steam, right click SteamVR > Properties
2. Under Installed Files, click Verify Integrity of tool files.
It should redownload and replace corrupted files.
Hope this helps.

I did this and it worked every time I did it but now it's doesn't do anything and I constantly get partial passthrough with Virtual Desktop using SteamVR

The only way I found to remove the chromakey effect was to turn off passthrough in virtual desktop.
