Passthrough issue

We just got our quest 2 a month or so ago and it's been awesome. All of a sudden an issue popped up and I have not been able to find any way to rectify the issue. 

 

When playing games or standing in the guardian, everything is fine. As soon as passthrough kicks in, the right lens goes blurry and looks like TV static. 

 

I have no idea what to do here. I don't want to send the headset in because oculus support is known for keeping headsets for months on end and considering how much we use it and how much money is invested, I'd rather not send it in.
