Passthrough on Quest Pro & maybe everything else

Can someone explain why my phone screen looks so crappy in passthrough mode?  It's as if it's being done "on purpose."  It would be nice to be able to read 2FA codes, when I log into something on the Quest that requires it.

Dear Meta-bot,

Please have one of your human handlers don a headset, and place it it passthrough mode.  Then try to operate a smartphone.  The screen on the phone is distorted and unreadable, while everything else in the room looks "fine."

 

Hey there, @wuzp. Thanks for getting back to us! While everything may appear clear while looking through the headset's pass-through, the quality of a mobile device with its own display and other items when close can be lowered. Especially with small words, this can make it difficult to read. 

While we know having to peek outside your headset to look at your mobile device can become tiresome, we'd love to have you submit any ideas you may have to help us make using a phone in VR easier, here! We're always looking for new ways to continue to grow within VR!
