Hey there, @avivh! Thank you for providing this information about your situation with the lag you are reporting in PCVR. First thing I would recommend here, is trying to connect to your PC via Air Link to see if you see any changes in behavior. This can help us determine if there is an issue with the cable, or if this is possibly due to something else. Beyond this, we do want to make sure your settings for PCVR are set to go through your dedicated GPU as any integrated GPU can cause issues as well. Try the steps below to see if this helps as well.

There are a few methods we can attempt to ensure the Oculus software is using the correct GPU. Some of these are listed below, and should be attempted in the order in which they appear.

Manually assign the GPU

You can use Windows to manually assign which GPU is used by a specific process. This should have little to no side effects. To do so:

  1. Close the Oculus Desktop software
  2. Open Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics Settings
  3. Select Classic App from the drop down and click Browse
  4. Select the OculusClient.exe
(By default, this will be installed C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-client\OculusClient.exe)
  5. Click Options > High Performance > Save
Ensure the "High Performance" option has your dedicated graphics at the top of this menu.

Set Oculus Process Priority

You can manually set the process priority to see if this will automatically assign the process to high performance. This should have few side effects.

  1. Open Task Manager
  2. Go to the Details tab
  3. Find OVRServer_x64.exe
  4. Right click on it and select Set Priority
  5. Set this priority to High
  6. Repeat steps 4 - 6 for VirtualDesktop.streamer.exe

Hopefully this should help with your issues, but please let us know if you continue to run into this lag you are reporting.

I encountered a similar issue, and I resolved it by updating the Link software. I deleted the old version and downloaded the new one. Additionally, I disabled some of the beta features of Quest Link, and that seemed to fix my problem.

Good Morning @avivXR! We know how important it is to you to have a working Passthrough while in VR. When did this issue start occurring? What troubleshooting steps have you already attempted? Hope to hear back from you.

Thank you both:
I had the issue ever since I tried to develop mixed reality on Q3 - didn't do much mixed reality on my Q2.
I tried reinstalling the Oculus app. Restarting the computer and the device.
I tried pumping the GPU on my laptop (Asus Rog X16 RTX4070) for more juice (it helped a bit)
I played around with the quality settings (I mostly use URP)
Also there aren't any issues in the Meta project setup tool.
I using Meta XR All-in-one 63.

For now, I hardly test my xr stuff in the editor. I prefer to debug it on the device (which is a slow process)

I appreciate any advice (including getting a better PC)
And again thank you.

So in URP are your render scale higher then 1 and your anti aliasing is higher then 2x.

render scale 1
Anti aliasing is 4X
