My credit card is not being accepted or saved. Therefore I am unable to purchase games for my recently purchased oculus 2. It is NOT due to my card or banking issues. What is the fix for this issue other than returning the unit?

I get this too sometimes. I just use the Oculus App on my phone to make purchases instead

Hey there, we noticed you're experiencing trouble with your form of payment. We do not want you to feel that you are alone on this matter or being ignored. We've got you covered. If you haven't done so already, let's try carefully following the instructions below to add your new payment method to your PC or mobile phone. 


To add or remove a payment method using the Oculus app on your computer: 


1. Open the Oculus app on your PC. 

2. Select Settings on the left menu.

3. Select the Payment tab.

4.Click the Add Payment Method dropdown menu.

5.Enter your payment info to add your payment method. To remove a payment method, click Remove next to the applicable card or PayPal account. 


To add a payment method using the Oculus app on your phone: 


1. Open the Oculus app on your phone. 

2. Tap your profile picture in the top left. 

3. Tap Payment Methods.

4. Tap Add a credit or debit card or Add a PayPal account. 

5. Enter your payment info to add your payment method.

I'm in the UK and can't use my debit card on any Oculus site or app because the security for European cards is stronger and incompatible with Oculus's payment service in the US.

The ONLY way round this is to use your (or set up a) Paypal account - you can then link your card to this Paypal account and it then works fine.
