Pc Oculus app log in issue (2024)

Hello,

I own an Oculus Rift (not S) and a Meta Quest 3 (bought resently)

After 1/1/24 I can't log in to my Oculus account through PC Oculus app.

I've deleted and reinstalled Oculus app.

I tried through different browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Microsoft Edge).

I have had an active Meta quest account before 1/1/24.

I have access to my Oculus informations through Meta Quest account.

Log into a Meta account using [Log into a Meta Account] button doesn't work.

When I try to Log in oculus account through email, I get error message about incorrect username/password.

 I forgot my password option doesn't respond.

Help option doesn't respond.

I sent a message to support three days ago providing all information available to me. I got no response.

How should I proceed?

Thank you, my problem was solved. I wanted only to let you know (in case anyone else needs the tip) that I had to reset the headset to factory settings (as I was instructed through an email from metas support).

Issue: Oculus app failing to log in

Hello @Nuthor! Thank you so much for reaching out to us regarding logging into your account through the PC app. We would love to help you get back into your account through your PC. We are sure you must be eager to get back into PCVR. We appreciate you trying some basic troubleshooting steps on your own. We would also like to suggest you try to repair the PC app and try the basic troubleshooting steps listed below.

 

  • Manually uninstall the Oculus Desktop App and then try installing it again.
  • Disable the anti-virus
    • Only for the install process; the anti-virus should be re-enabled once the installation is complete.
    • After successful installation: Confirm the Oculus Desktop App is added to the antivirus software's whitelist. Provide this public article for additional information.
  • Ensure Link or Rift cables are not plugged in before or during the installation.

If i plugged the cabel before?

I can ge loged in my acount, I am trying for like 2 hours.

Please help me I don't know what to do.

I need help with this having same problem

Hi @Spazz508, We see that you're having issues with connecting your device to your PC. We want you to have one of the most memorable VR experiences ever, so we definitely want to get this issue resolved as soon  as possible. First we just need to ask you a few questions:

  • What type of device do you own?
  • How long have you been having this issue?
  • What type of PC are you using?
