People app doesn't show party call and dms ui on Quest 2

For the entire time I have had my headset I have had an issue where it doesn't show my dms or party dms. I always thought it would be fixed. It still isn't.

I just started my headset to play with my friends and now I can't see the party when I press the call button.

How do I fix these two issues?

  • Have you ever been able to access the party call icon?
  • Have you tried connecting to a different WiFi network?
  • What other troubleshooting steps have you tried already?

I used to be able to access the party call icon but after a certain software update (im not sure which) I was no longer able to. Im not sure if the party ui was moved to the dms menu or if something completely different.

I don't have any other WiFi networks to connect as I only play while at home

Ive tried closing the app and reopening it, aswell I have tried restarting my headset on multiple occasions

We'd like to do our best to get to the bottom of this missing People's app content, so we're eager to continue looking into this situation for you! To clarify, is the Peoples Tab in your Meta Quest mobile app functioning properly? Is both your headset and Meta Quest mobile app currently up to date with the latest software? Also, if you haven't already, please hard reboot your headset using these steps:

  1. Turn off your headset. 
  2. Firmly hold the power and volume down (-) buttons on your headset simultaneously for about a minute, or until the boot screen loads on your headset. 
  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight 'Boot device' and press the power button to complete that.

nothing happened after doing the hard reboot
