My quest 2 has a setting I can't enable called phone notifications in vr. I click it and it says to go to the meat app and go to headset setting and activate it. So I tried. I looked. And looked. And looked. It's not there. At all. I checked my phone for updates. None. The app. Latest version. I go to support and they keep telling me how to enable the app notifications on my phone. I don't need to know that. I already know that. How do I enable notifications through my vr headset. Like if someone texts me I don't want to have to take it off to see if It was important every single time.
dude i think they discontinued it back in december. i just had this same problem recently and it angers me that the option still isnt removed on the quest itself.
Hey there, everyone. We know how important this issue is for you all. Being able to see your phone notifications on your headset can definitely make your VR experience a bit more streamlined. With that said, we wanted to clarify that this feature has been discontinued after update v60 in December. While we can't guarantee anything, plenty of ideas that have gained traction with the community in our Ideas Forums have been implemented into future updates to help improve the user experience of our community as a whole. Same here... I'm actually stuck at the first step of the instructions: "Open the Oculus App on your Phone" I can't find anything on the iPhone call the Oculus App. I've opened the Meta Quest App because I'm guessing that is what they meant. So then I look and there is no "devices" tab. So I go to the "hamburger" and then I see devices. I click it and then select my headset (as there is nothing else I can select). I see nothing about "Phone Notifications". 😞
