Like many others that I read on here, the pen plastic bar snapped on both ends and broke off inside the headset and now it’s not possible to use the VR headset at all because of a tiny cheap plastic piece that was used to slip our straps through. No headset can work with it now. I have no idea how to get help for this so I’m putting in a form and I replied to other people that had the exact same thing happened. Several stated that when they tried to get it fixed, they got denied through their Shop because Med said it was user error or user caused… I want to make it clear this is not a user created problem. I didn’t even get the strap to the Velcro and the bar broke off on both ends. The plastic is still in the headset on both ends. This is breaking off because it’s a cheap plastic park that we pull our straps through every time we use it. It shouldn’t be cheap plastic that’s why it’s breaking. I would like to know how this gets fixed since I now have a rather expensive headset that I cannot use. I look forward to some sort of response. Thank you.

Best to get it replaced if you can, but if you can't, I think you could probably use a BoboVR headstrap without it. It has a strap that feeds through that top pin, but mine seems very loose (it is actually difficult to tighten up). The head support for the BoboVR comes in from the sides and it doesn't have a center strap.

Hey there again @ahoops_33! We just wanted to follow up with you on the issues you were having Plastic pin/bar connector strap goes through broke with no pressure at all. Did you still need assistance with this matter? Talk to you soon! Have a great day!

That is not a solution because I have a Bobo… In fact, I have three other types of straps and none of them will work. It’s not able to be used without a bar there. How do I get this fixed?

I'm in the same boat as you, the little bar just cracked on my meta quest 3. With that said, taking a look at the Bobo headset, it does in fact NOT use this center strap location, and instead has a halo design using the side mounts. I paid for the insurance, so Ill see where that gets me.. but even then, who knows how long they will take. Might just grab the Bobo pro s3pro

The bobovr M3 pro actually does have a short strap that connects to that pin, but as I said a couple posts ago, mine is very slack and I don't think it supports anything when I'm wearing it. I agree that the S3 doesn't appear to have that strap at all, so I guess bobovr also decided that strap was pointless.
The S3 is interesting looking, but I am a bit scared of powerful batteries. I tried a noname brand headstrap with battery on my quest 3, and it negotiated 12v while playing. It was the only time I heard the quest 3 cooling fan come on. I'd rather rather have the weaker battery used on the M3. With that, I can usually go a week or so without charging my headset (I just pull the bobovr battery off its magnetic mount and charge is separately every night). Doing this, the headset battery drops about 2% to 3% in a 90 min play session.

Thanks. My pin is still intact. I was just commenting on the bobovr head strap.

Thanks for clarifying, @Occupunk! We apologize for the oversight. Have a great one!
