PLEASE HELP ME GET MY FB ACCOUNT THAT I HAVE HAD SINCE 2009 BACK! 😭
I'm not sure who to send this to, so I am sending this to whoever I think can help me the best.
Last October ( 2024) I was tricked and my Facebook account was taken over by a hacker. Posing as me, this hacker took advantage of my Facebook friends, tried swindling money from them and so on. I was devastated as I have been on Facebook since 2009 and have a long list of family and friends and basically have documented everything I have done with my life since then on Facebook. I have tons of pictures on there including those of my children from toddlers to graduating college, as well as many "albums".
I also have an Instagram account as well as a FB business account ( SENIOR BENEFITS NY) ( I help people with Medicare) associated with my personal account as well, which were also shut down.
I didn't know what else to do, so I asked my Facebook friends to "Report" my account as being hacked, which it was! Many of my friends did just that, they reported my account. Then, my kids were able to get my account back. Yes, a miracle for sure! They were able to trick the hacker and get my Facebook account BACK!
This was short lived however, because after only about a week, Facebook shut me down because a "report" came in from when I previously asked my FB friends to report my account! I was given one "appeal", and sent in a picture of my drivers license and a side to side picture of myself. I was given my account back for one day. Then another "report" came in and this time I was shut down for good. 😞
I have tried EVERYTHING to get someone to hear me, but there isn't an actual person to "talk" to, to explain my situation to try to get my account back.
I don't want to just "OPEN" a new account either. As I said before, I have had this Facebook account since 2009 and I have a history with this account and I don't want to lose EVERYTHING and ALL the memories I have on Facebook that I have gathered for the past 16 years! Additionally, My business page has clients' information on it as well, and I have no other way of reaching out to them now.
I can only hope that someone out there reads this and is able to help me before my Facebook is deleted forever.
