I bought a meta quest 3. And several accessories from Meta directly. (What a mistake.) The day I got it the right screen had dead pixels. So I contacted support that was no help. So I got online and requested an exchange. It was for a refurbished one. So let me get this straight.. my brand new Oculus 3 was dead on arrival and it was replaced with a refurbished unit. Pretty messed up.
So I got the refurbished unit and spent several hours trying to connect the controllers they don't connect. They won't connect. I contacted support and they told me to do the same thing I had been doing for hours.. completely ignoring what I was saying. So then on the 30 day mark I decided I was tried of dealing with them and the poor support and I wanted to send it all back for a refund. This was still in the 30 day period. But I couldn't do that online cause they had sent me a refurbished unit. So I contacted support and told them I would like a refund and to send it all back. They said they escalated it and someone would get back to me in 24-48 hours. Which at that time will be after the 30 day mark for a headset I haven't even been able to use.
.when I try to connect the controllers it says updating controller LEFT (error) my best guess is the software on the headset doesn't match up with the controllers since I updated the original oculus when it was set up the day I got it..
My last message was from someone saying they would keep me updated but there was no update.
. Before that In the chat when I told him they issue and what I did and again he tried to tell me to do the same thing I had i said I wanted a refund and to return it all this has been ridiculous. And that agent just straight up disconnected the chat after that.
Got another message last night of them telling me to do the exact same thing I've done several times and been to the several times. Are they not looking into the history of the issue.
I want to the chat pretty angry. And was told adding to do the exact same thing that I spent 5 hours doing..
the controllers don't pair they don't connect they have an error updating probably cause they are on a different firmware version than the quest is would be my guess.
I'm telling you dealing with the customer support is beyond frustrating and so far has done zero to help. But they sure have not listened.. the person I chatted with last night I not only told her I'd done the gaze to control to get past it I pasted her severw emails of people telling me to do it..and she still told me to do it completely ignoring everything I said. It's been 2 days no one has gotten back to me on returning it and the accessories for a refund.. is been a horrible horrible horrible experience.
