Recently my mic is spotty at best. Communication with team is disappointing. It's not reliable. Any advice or tips. Only happens in Population One game standalone.

I'd like to chime in with a troubleshooting step you could try:
Press the settings button on your left hand controller to open the battle menu.
Select Settings -> General.
Check that your microphone/voice volume isn't set too low.
Check that you have the correct input device selected.
