Possible solution for : "adding paypal problem"

hi, because of the Support "Help" i removed my paypal account and then tried to add it again, using the meta app.

but i only got the same error message again and again: 
"Something went wrong. Paypal is not accessible" or something like that
(i got the error message in german.. soo 🤷‍)

then I went to https://www.meta.com/payments/ but there is no paypal option, credit card only... god knows why...

while chatting with meta support i stumbled over the "old" https://secure.oculus.com/my/payment-methods/ page and what do you know... there i could add my paypal account with no problems at all.

and within seconds, my paypal was also listed again on my meta app.

so my guess... old people like me, who still registered their accounts on oculus.com and then migrated that account to meta.com cant use the app to add paypal, because the app might try via meta.com and there is no paypal for us.. 🤷‍

on your first link, you just have to go to "Meta Horizon Profile settings".....that's where you can add not only credit card, but also paypal.

so my guess... old people like me, who still registered their accounts on oculus.com and then migrated that account to meta.com cant use the app to add paypal, because the app might try via meta.com and there is no paypal for us.. 🤷‍

Not quite right.....I have also an old account, migrated to Meta, i am also from Germany, but I can add paypal also in the mobile app.

Not sure, why this work for some people, but for other not🤔

Anyway....I'm glad you found a way to add your payment method😊

yeah thats what me took to the "old" oculus page: https://secure.oculus.com/my/profile/

and from there on payment methods i got to: https://secure.oculus.com/my/payment-methods/

Yes, I know....there was once a notification that all those "old" things can be found  under "Meta Horizon Profile settings" now.

Oh my, it works!

So, I'm new to this Meta ecosystem. I tried to add PayPal to the Meta Horizon app, but I encountered an error message. However, I tried adding PayPal through this link: https://secure.oculus.com/my/payment-methods/ . When I went back to the Horizon app, the PayPal payment option was now available.
