Primary accounts can not cast to Chromecast devices?

So I have BOTH a Quest 2 and Quest 3.  I can Cast to other Chromecast devices with the Quest 2 but not so with the Quest 3.  Why is that?

I agree with this. Casting through a secondary account has allowed me to enjoy Help Wanted 2 with my friends.

Was that for me? I wasn't replying you sorry. But then afaik there are different versions of chromecast api and some known not working with older tv without specific settings so I think it's a good idea to pinpoint the problem if possible. Was the device updated during the restart?

So if you change to a secondary account it work´s and if you change back to the primary stops working ???

Yes. So it is a workaround for many.
Not for me as we are playing through "Bricktales" with the kids and already have > 50% solved so we would need the progress from the first account to make it happen.
So we go for web streaming + PC2TV... Argh...

Is this going to be fixed in a future update? I had a few friends over for Walkabout Minigolf and the inability to cast ruined it.

I’ve run across this issue as well. 1 work around I’ve found is doing a factory reset on the chromecast (4k) and the MQ3. However if the MQ3 is powered off and left alone for a few hours. Chromecast is not available as a cast option anymore. This is becoming a huge Christmas let down at the house

Same here, main account couldn't refresh to find avaialbe chromcast devcie.

Can confirm that it's not working with the primary account (chromecast won't even show up) but it's working perfectly fine with the secondary account. Let's hope they won't make it so that's working with none..

I don't understand, I literally had it casting to my TV via Chromecast with no issues and now all of a sudden it just wants to cast to my phone, won't even give me the option to cast to my Chromecast like it did before, why did they take this feature away?

Just adding in my complaint with this as well. Super inconvenient timing for this to break when everyone's gathered for the holidays and want to share the fun with family and friends. In a way, casting at the holidays is a good marketing technique by allowing others to watch. I hope whoever broke this with the recent firmware deployment is sh*tting bricks right now 🤣
