Prime Video VR app not playing videos on Quest 2

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have just received my Quest 2 and have have been setting up the apps I have on the original Quest. Although I loaded the Prime Video VR  app and signed in, videos will not play. I receive the following message:

"Error loading information
We encountered an error loading the page. If the problem continues, sign out the Prime Video VR app, restart your device, and then sign in again.
ERROR: 4107"

I've followed the instructions, but it hasn't solved the issue, also the app still works fine on the Quest.

Could anyone please help?

What a waste of a app it wont even open thats a waste of 9.99

1. Uninstall / reinstall

2. Device --> Settings --> Find App --> Clear Data (icon on the right)

This should work when you open app again.

Hey @Dale_71! We see you were seeing some issues with an app on us with us and would be more than happy to help you out with this. As always we do love to see our community helping each other out, so thank you @clay0nline2125! This is sound advice, and would highly encourage you to try this troubleshooting step!

For clarification, we do have a few questions to best assist you with this:

  • Have you been able to use this app successfully before?
  • Are you having issues with other apps as well, even here and there?
  • What troubleshooting steps, if any, have you already attempted?

We look forward to hearing back from you and to working together on this!

Hello support agent and thanks for taking the time to check on this issue. I had the same problem and never got any solution for it. I tried to contact Meta over a year ago and now you are replying to 3 year old post about this problem.
I´ll be honest with you, my Quest 2 is on the shelf collecting dust and will most likely stay there for the unseeable future.
This amazon app was at the time full of bugs and i tried to reinstall, clear cache, factory reset but this same error always came back. I hope in the future it wont take years to respond but until then i will stay away from any Meta equipment.

Best regards L3o

You are partially right. FIRST you need to go into Settings (Top right of the screen with a Gear, that comes up when you click the [Time, WiFi, Battery] Quick Settings button on the dashboard.  Click Apps, then click Installed Apps. Scroll down until you find Prime Video VR, and click the Arrow at the right of the app. Click (ALLOW) Microphone and Storage so that both are checkmarked (blue). THEN, go back to Settings and click Storage. Scroll down to Prime Video VR and click the Delete App Data button (looks like a stack of papers with a small x). Click Delete on the popup to confirm. Launch Prime Video VR and log in on the QUEST (NOT on COMPUTER!)

Finally worked for me on Quest 3 with version 60 of the firmware!

THANK YOU @clay0nline2125 this solution works fine! Wish I'd have thought of it before, I'd been unable to watch for months. It's really cool being able to watch an IMAX sized screen in a tiny flat!
