I have a problem after installing the Meta Quest Link desktop app. It was working perfectly with my Rift S, but after a few months, a Meta Quest Link app update was released, and suddenly, it said there was a tracking issue with my headset—even though it was working perfectly fine before the update.
I uninstalled the Meta Quest Link app through "Add or Remove Programs," and when I reinstalled it, after downloading and installing everything, the application window stays black. It doesn’t even ask me to log into my Meta or Oculus account. It just gets stuck there. I have no way to connect my headset because it doesn’t even prompt me to sign in to my Oculus or Meta account.
I haven’t migrated to a Meta account yet, so my Oculus account still has the device linked, but it’s not linked to my Meta account. I can’t submit a support ticket because Oculus support redirects me to Meta, and Meta says I don’t have a device.
Why is this error happening after installation? Is there any way to contact support directly? This whole Oculus-to-Meta account merge and the Meta Quest Link app situation is a complete mess...
TL;DR: After a Meta Quest Link update, the app no longer gives me the option to log into my Oculus or Meta account, even after reinstalling, black window screen on the app. How can I proceed? I have a VR brick sitting on my desk right now
