Problem during Oculus Setup [Workaround found]

Hey guys.
After Windows reinstall, I faced such a problem. I download Oculus_setup. After the 2nd step (Acceps Terms and conditions), i get "Can't connect" error with the message "Looks like we cant reach the Oculus server. Please check your connection.". So I have fresh OS installed, firewall disabled and no proxies etc. Ofc I have enough space on C: drive.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

So, i've tried to install it on another PC, and there is a thing i've noticed. After the step with "Terms and Conditions" the setup tool asks to install 2 windows patches. And on my PC I get "Check your connection error".
So how do you think, could it be connected with this issue, i mean eg. setup tool is not able to get the list of patches installed on my PC or something like that?
When I did install it a month ago, I had tip to install those patches too. So after windows reinstallation i'm sure they are not installed on my system now.
And to clarify everything, I'm on Windows7 sp1 x64.

Hello once again.
So in general, I'm still stuck with the installation. Now i'm downloading and installing all the missing win7 updates. Hope it'll help. In general I was not able to find any reason of this issue.
BTW guys, is there any ip adress to ping, just to check it's availability (mb my internet provider is blocking it etc.)?

It would help to see your setup log. See here:

I understand, but there is no Oculus folder =( I'm really starting to think that it's some weird privileges problem because setup tool is not able to create logs...

If it's a fresh OS install, it's really important to get all the Windows Updates first.

all I have is several "Oculus.....blablabla" folders in the %appdata/temp% with 3 dlls inside: ssleay32.dll, libeay32.dll, Intrinsics.dll.

That's all, I can't imagine what's wrong.... Still hope for some support.

So, after win10 upgrage everything works properly... But, it doesn't look like a proper fix of a problem. Hope in future Oculus will fix the setup tool to work with win7 aswell.

After fighting this issue for weeks on multiple systems and trying every single possible fix, I finally figured out the solution:

1) Very carefully disconnect your Oculus equipment from your computer.
2) Place it in the box it originally came in.
3) Throw the hunk of crap in the nearest dumpster where it belongs.
4) Get an HTC Vive.
5) Enjoy state of the art VR provided by a company that has a phone number, a product that actually works, and a staff that actually cares.
