Problem with Casting on PC, the tooltip button and the microphone button disappeared

I have two quest 2, for each of my two children, but since this Friday, January 12, one of them began to have a strange problem when I use the casting on a PC with Chrome, they like to transmit their games and games to the family, but one of them changed, and now appears directly on a wide screen and two of the buttons disappeared, the nut to make the transmission wider, and the microphone mute button.
 
and that would not be a problem, but the transmission looks terribly bad when there is a load in the game, or it is removed for 1 moment, the transmission is very slow, unstable, it looks pixelated.

Thanks for getting back to us, @space.plus.vr.2022! We certainly see what you are referring to there with those screenshots, and appreciate the thorough reply. So we can make sure our engineers are able to receive this feedback promptly, we'd like you to report a problem directly from the headset that is experiencing this issue for us. From there, please go through the following to help get a better grasp of what might be the cause here:

 

  • Do you notice this issue only in particular apps, or every environment/app that you've tried? 
  • Please keep in mind that both the headset and the receiving device need to be connected to the same local area network. (Generally, this just means connected through the same router, though it may be more complex on public or enterprise systems.)
    • The best practice is to have the headset connected through 5Ghz, though 2.4Ghz may still work at limited quality.
    • If your router supports it, try connecting to the internet via 5Ghz connection, rather than 2.4Ghz.
  • Although the headsets are on the same version currently, please check out this article to ensure that specific headset is completely up to date.
  • If possible, try lowering the graphics settings in the app that you see this issue in. If it happens in all apps, feel free to disregard this one!
  • Try to limit any interference between your Casting device, your router and the Quest Headset. If you are casting the two headsets at the same time, test to see if the issue continues without the second headset casting.

Hey @space.plus.vr.2022! We see your having some issues with casting using Chromecast on a particular device. Casting is really important for sharing the VR experience with friends and family, and we would love to see if we can help!

First, please ensure you have tested casting on the device with issues to another source. We recommend another PC entirely, or perhaps the mobile device or Chromecast device.

Next, you mentioned doing a Factory Reset already, have you tried logging out and back into the website? This would help ensure the account is properly logged in.

Hello!, I have already tried using the device with 3 different PCs, and they all have the same problem, I even tried it on my office PC with a totally different internet, and the transmission continues the same, the transmission on my mobile works Well, and I don't have the chromcast, because it seems much easier to do the transmission directly at https://www.oculus.com/casting, but it seems that my account has a curse because only it has that error, or That strange problem, however the 2nd quest 2 that I have is completely normal.

Hello hello!.

Today I woke up to try to try the things you mentioned, and it seems that without doing anything the problem "fixed itself", I had a week without my children using them, since I was traveling, and it seems that now it works correctly, I must clarify that I did not make any changes to quest 2 or to the computer or my 5g wifi network, but the good news is that it now works. This is nice for the convenience and ease of transmission on the meta casting page, I don't know if they did something on my account, or updated something, but thanks, everything is in order now 😌👍
