Problems with unlock prompt

Hi,
When trying to wake up my Quest 3, I've had several issues :

1. Sometimes, the "unlock pattern" prompt appears, but not my hands, not controllers, giving me no way to actually unlock.
When I long press the power button, the choice between "restart", "power down" and "cancel" appears, as well as my hands and/or controllers. But if I choose "cancel" and go back to the "unlock" screen, they disappear again.
Only restarting the headset fixes the issue.

 

2. Using Virtual Desktop, when I take off the headset, it goes to sleep after a moment as it should.
But when I put it on again, I get the full passthrough view, without any prompt to unlock the headset at all.
The home button doesn't make the oculus bar reappear, nor gives me the choice to quit or resume using the App. A long press doesn't do anything either.
Same as point 1, I can only restart the headset to use it again.

As a VR developer, I use the headset all the time, which makes these issues extremely annoying.
I think they started appearing on v64.

 

Anyone else has those problems?

  1. Check if headset is up to date.
  2. Hard Reboot.
  3. Factory Reset.

Rebooting, or hard rebooting, fixes the issue when it occurs, but does not prevent it from happening again

Yep, problem still occurs, but less frequently since the v65 update.

Anyway, I discovered I could "click" by pressing the volume button, so I don't have to reboot everytime it happens.

Hey there, @fchiron! We are glad to see you have found a work around to prevent having to reboot the device to get back to a workable state. As for the situation that is causing this, the best thing to do at this point if the previous troubleshooting has not helped, would be to submit a bug report through the in headset tools.
