Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my recent experience with Meta's return process, which has left me feeling really frustrated and disappointed. Here’s what happened:
I returned a product, and it was delivered to Meta's return center on Monday, 14th October—9 days ago now. However, my account is still showing that Meta is "waiting to receive the product," and I haven’t been issued a refund yet.
This situation has been extremely concerning, and my patience is running thin. Here’s a breakdown of the issues I’ve encountered:
Online Return Attempt Failed
On Sunday, 29th September, I tried to make the return online. However, Meta's system didn’t recognize the SKU, even though the product was purchased directly from Meta’s online store and was clearly listed on my account.
Repeatedly Unhelpful Online Chat Support
I contacted Meta’s online chat support three times over the span of five days to resolve this and get a return kit and label. Unfortunately, none of the representatives could help, and I was left with no choice but to escalate the issue through a PayPal claim.
Delay in Receiving Return Label
After PayPal got involved, I finally received the return label and sent the product back on Friday, 11th October. I have proof from DHL that Meta received it on Monday, 14th October.
Account Not Updated, No Refund
Nine days have passed since Meta received the product, and my account still reflects that the product hasn’t been received. As a result, I’m still waiting for my refund.
The entire process has been nothing but stressful and time-consuming. I’d like to formally complain and request that this matter be investigated by someone senior at Meta. If I don’t receive a satisfactory resolution soon, I’ll be escalating the issue to the ombudsman.
I appreciate any advice from others who may have gone through similar issues, and I hope to see this resolved quickly.

I understand that waiting on updates can leave you feeling left in the dark a bit on the expected timeline. Returns do have the potential to be lengthy processes however rest assured you will absolutely receive a refund or a replacement device, whichever has been indicated when initially starting the return.
