Is it a known bug, that project cars is extremly bad since oculus patch 1.17 or is it just for me? Sometimes its stuttering from the beginning, so i have to restart oculus home, to get it smooth again. But even if it starts smooth, after an hour of racetime, the game drops to 5fps in the hmd (on screen all is good) everytime. Had no issues before 1.17.
Hi Dan, I run Project cars I have no stuttering I have only recently had my Rift and it has only run on 1.17 The only issue I have is that at odd times whilst playing Project the computer crashes and switches off (sigh) still looking for a work round.
Are you doing long sessions? Like I wrote, it happens always after an hour in the race (that makes 2 hours over all runtime, including training, qualifying and warmup).
Seriously, is no one else doing endurance races? I can´t be the only one who gets screwed by this damn 1.17 update in Project Cars. Everything else is running fine (ok, gotta admint, I don´t play any other games as long, as I play Project Cars). Today again it screwed my chances for a win in our Meganecup final. 40 min training, 40min quali, 10min warmup and a 11 lap race on the Nordschleife. 20min into quali, the damn stuttering got me. Restartet my whole system and was back in action for warmup and race. Of course after 6 laps the damn stuttering all over again. I am so pissed right now, the game was running perfect, but then you guys broke it with the 1.17 update for OH.
Wow, what a surprise. Since I had much time now, while the others were continuing their race, I found the real problem. It´s not a problem with Project Cars, my Mediaserver gets blown up to 85% systemusage over time, when I am in Oculus. How can OH have such an impact on my mediaservertool?
