hopw some one can help me. I've git my CV1 arrive and all working fine. Luckys tale and Eve working spot on. But I'm trying to get project cars to work through steam. It all works and loads fine in steam but the picture and textures are worse than awful when looking through the rift but on my tv it looks perfect. Head tracing looks great on the to, but is unplayable in the rift. All drivers are up to date, have set up steam VR properly, it's really doing my nut and yes have allowed external programs to play in the rift. Has anyone had this problem and can anyone help.

Oh, and I'm running a gtx 970 not an AMD card. Any help is really appreciated,

When you launch project cars are you selecting Oculus VR mode? You shouldn't need STEAM VR installed to play PCars on the Rift. I am still waiting on my CV1 arriving, but am just about to try project cars on the DK2. I will let you know how I get on.

Works great on the DK2. When clicking Play on Steam, just select Launch Project Cars - Oculus Rift in Other VR Mode and it should work. I am also using a GTX 970 and the game looks great even on the DK2.

Thanks for the reply, I have tried launching both ways, in steam Vr and using the launch in other Vr mode Someone on another forum has said it could be an issue with SLI. I am running 2 gtx 970s, so when I finish work I'll be trying just on a single card. What I have played on it though is awesome. Just can't wait for Pcars to get working correctly.

Yeah, most likely an issue with SLI. VR is known to have lots of issues with running SLI so probably best disabling with PCars. You should be able to keep the graphics settings up fairly high in any case. I was considering going SLI, but with the improvements with the new GTX 1080 and 1070, I think it would make more sense to just run a single 1080 although I will need to save a bit of cash before getting one.

Probably an SLi issue, just disable one car and see how you get on. Settings will have to be fairly low I'm afraid, certainly turn off and FSAA. My 980Ti only really copes with 2xFSAA.

Yep, was a SLI issue. Turned it off and all is good. Not had chance to sit down and play it yet but at least I know it's all good. And I do think in the coming weeks you might see a pair of 970s on eBay to make space for a 1080. Thanks fir the replys.
