I've bought project cars a few weeks ago, and everything ran great! but about a week ago, my drive crashed. So I reinstalled windows, Oculus, and Project cars. I uninstalled project cars, and re-downloaded 20GB of it. Still the same. I wiped the drive, and installed windows clean again, then everything else. Still same! Other apps and experiences seem to be fine. Oculus home, intro video, Oculus Dreamdeck are the ones I tried on the latest install. Previous install was also working with Eve, Elite Dangerous, Lucky's tale, and others.
I had this after messing with the anti aliasing and dx settings. I had to unistall the game and the save folder.. Got it working in the end..Was wierd though it was like playing rainbow island on mario kart while on mushrooms..
Weird how I was not able to find this when I searched if anyone replied a week ago... But...
I still have the issue. While reinstalling windows (twice), I reinstalled graphic drivers and Oculus a few times too. I tried a lot of DX and AI settings to no avail. I can't try them all, as I'll need a whole day to do that (thanks to required restart and a lot of intros).
Once I was able to get it working: switched texture resolution to high. I drove 4 races in 2 sittings, and BAM - it's the same problem again. Tweaked texture detail, nothing.
Today I tried loading in desktop mode and it runs just fine, no issues. All textures are there.
What else do I try?
PS: At this time, I've played the game for a total of, like, 1 hour, while spending about 12-15 hours trying to get everything to work. VERY frustrating!
@birk: yes, that was it!!! Thank you! I can finally start catching up on play time (vs fiddling with setup)
