Purchased a Gift Card but it never arrives.

In an attempt to get around the fact that i can't add a payment method, i tried purchasing a Gift Card so i could finally try out Desktop VR. I get the "Order Confirmed" mail and if i look at the tracking link, it says "delivered", but i never get the follow-up mail with the actual Gift Card in it. I was in chat with a CS rep for about an hour today and got that "Order Confirmed" mail sent to me again, but once again, the actual Gift Card never shows up. (we even tried an alternate email)

Unlike getting my Quest 3 order cancelled during Pre-Order, Meta is actually taking money out of my bank account this time. I bought a $25 card and they deducted the $25 from my account. So - CS is unable to help and it looks like my only course now is to get ahold of the bank and have them dispute the charge.

I've spent the last 3 days trying to get meta to let me add a pay option to my account and now i'm getting charged for something i never actually receive when i try a different approach. I make $60 an hour at my job have spent enough time this week dealing with this that i could have bought an additional Quest 3 if i was being paid for this headache. I'm trying to keep my cool here, but this is so incredibly frustrating i'm not sure what to do. 

So - aside from just griping - i'm going to ask for a refund on my Gift Card that i was charged for, but never received. If somehow i'm allowed to purchase apps and games for the Quest 3 while that's getting worked out, then cool - i'll shut up. If i'm still left in a situation where i can't purchase games, apps or even a Gift Card, then i'll send the thing back to Amazon and wait for the next Valve headset.

Day 18, things have come full circle with the specialized team member contacting me telling me that I have received the gift cards, however I have not and neither has the recipient. It's like nobody in the support group reads the tickets and now I have sent the same info to over 20 different people.......or AI bots who knows at this point.

Day 19, no response from the Meta specialized team. What an awful experience.

Day 20, received a message from Meta Store Support at 5:00am on WhatsApp asking how they can assist. 15 minutes later Meta closed the chat session since I was asleep at 5:00am. Its like a joke.

Day 21, I spent roughly 45 min trying to explain to chat support on WhatsApp the situation only to be told that it would be escalated. Here is the latest from the specialized team............... to paraphrase: Thanks we don't know whats wrong, wait longer.

 

Please be informed that the issue that you are experiencing is something that is affecting user on multiple levels and is currently being investigated.

While we don't have an update to provide as of now, rest assured that our engineering team is working to get this situation resolved as soon as possible.

I promise you will be contacted as soon as there are updates but as of now all I can ask you is for your patience, as we investigate this situation within our dedicated team.

Your understanding is highly appreciated.

Hey @Gripped1. I'm terribly sorry to hear that your experience with support has been frustrating, we don't want you to feel unheard, so I went ahead and flagged this with our internal team for them to get a deeper look into your missing gift cards.

I'll be reaching back out as soon as I have some confirmation or an update from them.

Day 24 Haaaa Meta has decided that this issue is resolved and haven't done anything. Still haven't received gift cards, refund, or resolution. But I did receive this email below. 

Resolved - Re: Case #: Meta Quest - Meta Quest software or content - Other software or content issue.

Your request, case # has been solved. To reopen this request, reply to this email.

Oh and I received this email as well where they cut and pasted the reply from the previous email.
