Quest 1 not connecting to mobile App after factory reset (Headset Not Found) (MEGATHREAD)

Hello!

I have a quest 1 that I used for a while and it worked normally. Yesterday I turned on app-sharing and added a second account to the headset and after testing something I deleted the second account again. After that, my Quest 1 was not showing up in the mobile App anymore for the main account. (wanted to enable Dev. mode again) I tried reconnecting (adding a new device), did a factory reset, installed the app, tried another Oculus account, tried another phone but it always displays this message [shown in the picture] after trying to connect vie the 5 digit code. Right now the headset is completely unusable because I cannot complete the initial connection to the app that is required. So I need a fix as soon as possible.

You have the problem that your VR glasses can no longer be connected to your cell phone? I HAVE THE SOLUTION! You only have to uninstall the oculus app once and install version 193.1.0.15.104, enter the version in google and download the apk file, after installing everything works as usual. BUT BEWARE! The way is not official, if you ask the support team they suggest waiting for an update.

I got a 2nd headset and eventually want to make them work on 1 account but b4 I even can start I already have an issue I could use some help with,

The quest 1 starts up (after factory reset) with the view of the 5-digit code and thats all it does, That and the Code not working whem it shoulld pair for the 1st time on the mobile app.

Shouldn't I already be able to continue to anotyher screen / View? Like in your quest home.

Or does the code for pairing needs to work first.

Why is the code not working on my phone it searches and says Headset not found. Bluetooth is on but it doesn't show up.

Anybody who can help, Plz!

The factory reset doesn't solve it. The factory reset is why my Quest is currently a large paperweight. It got to the point where my headset was literally taking 5 minutes to boot up so I do a reset and now it's completely useless as opposed to being mostly useless.

I'm entering the 5 digit code and it refuses to do anything. I'm even trying to find a way to delete my device (since the app still sees my old one but also won't connect to it) and I can't even find a way to do that because on the website it looks like Meta has completely abandoned the original Quest.

I can't wait for Valve to release an updated headset.

Me too. Same issue here. And I don't have an Android phone. I'm using an iPhone...

@howezhu2 @MetaQuestSupport  Your the man @howezhu2 i used my mates S21 Ultra downloaded the same app version you used and now my headset is up and running although my iPhone 14 Pro still wont connect to it I’m unsure of how to add another device i tried adding my main account with a code generated from the app it kinda worked but then didn’t like it as my account was already connected so I’m 90% connected i just can’t communicate with my phone like opening apps or games using my phone stuff like that but my headset is running yayyy.

As stated on this forum in other threads, we are all experiencing this issue with devices prior to quest 2 and meta staff is aware looking into a fix

I’m having this problem as well. iPhone 12 and 14, can’t pair with headset after factory reset. So the solution is to either wait for a new iOS app or sideload an older version on an Android device?
