I recently bought a refurbished meta quest 1 and I can’t pair it at all. Everytime I get to the second update it gets stuck on 0% I have ran it over night and it didn’t change. Most of the time I get stuck at update 1 of 2 continue in the mobile app. Im which there is a no WiFi symbol on the safety tab while I set it up.. I’m frustrated and just want a fix.

Same…
I’m an owner of the original Oculus Quest 1 that I bought back in 2020. There was a period of around 3 years when I stopped using it for a variety of reasons but recently I had the bright idea to try it out once again. On my first boot I was able to get into the device’s menu but it kept telling me that I had to pair my device to my account again through the new Meta Quest App. So I tried that but… it just got stuck on the “health and safety” tab and the only solution I found online was to factory reset device… Ever since I did that - I’m unable to get through the update process or rather - the app just gets stuck on the safety tab again and the headset never goes past the 1 out of 2 updates screen. At first I thought my device was broken or something but it seems that the controllers are working perfectly fine and the only thing that is truly broken is that **bleep** update screen… The device gets picked up by the Meta Quest Link app on my PC without an issue but without getting through the whole truly awful process of pairing the device through that Meta app - there is no way to activate the PCVR Link option at all… So the headset seems to have become a paperweight?
It’s truly baffling to me that Meta has dropped all kinds of support for a device that eventually became the cornerstone of their hardware business… And that all of the money I spent on this headset - have been dumped into the trash heap of history… after 4 years? LoL… I feel cheated.

@YNG_V1P3R @Kim-Ki-Duk @Anonymous you may be able to complete the Quest setup by using a mobile app version that is older and more compatible with the version of firmware on the headset. There are older versions of the mobile software on the interwebs.

Also having this issue... I guess it's not related to the OTHER bricking issues that Q2/Q3 users are having then 😂 WTH Meta, did a few bad earnings calls cause you to fire all your engineers?
As a side note, do you happen to know which app version would likely work?
