Hi!
I’m an owner of the original Oculus Quest 1 that I bought back in 2020. There was a period of around 3 years when I stopped using it for a variety of reasons but recently I had the bright idea to try it out once again. On my first boot I was able to get into the device’s menu but it kept telling me that I had to pair my device to my account again through the new Meta Quest App. So I tried that but… it just got stuck on the “health and safety” tab and the only solution I found online was to factory reset device… Ever since I did that - I’m unable to get through the update process or rather - the app just gets stuck on the safety tab again and the headset never goes past the 1 out of 2 updates screen. At first I thought my device was broken or something but it seems that the controllers are working perfectly fine and the only thing that is truly broken is that **bleep** update screen… The device gets picked up by the Meta Quest Link app on my PC without an issue but without getting through the whole truly awful process of pairing the device through that Meta app - there is no way to activate the PCVR Link option at all… So the headset seems to have become a paperweight?
It’s truly baffling to me that Meta has dropped all kinds of support for a device that eventually became the cornerstone of their hardware business… And that all of the money I spent on this headset - have been dumped into the trash heap of history… after 4 years? LoL… I feel cheated.

I'm having the exact same issue. Did you ever find a solution?
Saturday
Nope.
The only solution it seems - is to get a new device… A one that is actually supported(like Quest 3 or S)
Kinda sucks but it’s still the cheapest option to get into both PC and standalone VR for me.

@Kim-Ki-Duk @rinrayne you may be able to flash a different firmware to your headset which doesn't need the update. According to this video title it works with Quest 1. You'll need to find the latest working firmware version for Quest 1 which I think was V50, check to make sure.
The meta quest developer hub might also be able to help get the headset set up.

Tried it, never worked.
