Hi everyone,
I have a Quest 3 and cannot connect the the wifi (it's a freebox, french internet provider).

Steps i took to troubleshoot :

  • I did manage to connect the quest to my cellphone via hotspot.
  • I factory reseted the quest and retried to connect to the freebox via passwords and QR code.
  • I trued to connect the quest via the phone app.
  • Rooter was rebooted, i was in the same room etc.
  • We have all other devices connecting without problem to this rooter.

Thanks for your help

Yeah support wants me to send the quest then they will check it for a week then send the replacement, we are talking of up to a month of discontinuity due do me living on an island + holidays.

I can't afford such a long discontinuity at the time because I am using the headset to develop a project with strict deadlines.

I asked any other possible way including sending pictures of the shipment so that they can send the replacement it when I deliver the faulty product to the courier but I was replied the same thing as before like a robot.

So far not too happy with the service, I expected some form of relieve not further hardship after receiving a faulty product.

I got a new Quest 3 just yesterday. But now today it just keeps disconnecting me from the internet every 10 minutes and it’s so frustrating. I already tried every single troubleshooting step but yet it still does not work. Any one have ideas?

The same issue…all methods above have been tried and none of them worked.

i am also having similar issues with wifi. one of my 3 wifi routers seems to works fine (it had also some disconnect but not frequently, maybe one in 3 hours). the two other wifi routers are not working.
one will disconnect after a couple of minutes and then cannot be connected to anymore (stuck by authenticating).
the other (3rd one) works but will disconnect every 5 min or so, then reconnects...
i had never this issue with quest 2 and any other wifi client devices.

Ok I disabled now WLAN steering on my Askey Router (from Swisscom ISP), so that the quest 3 stops switching between 5 / 2.4 Ghz, it seems to have fixed the issue so far ;-).
WLAN 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n speedtest Mbps up 152 down 98
WLAN 5 GHz 802.11 a/n/ac speedtest Mbps up 329 down 303

The DLINK router had no issue from the beginning, but it is a mini router with poor performance:

Hi all!

Hello @Milin88! Thank you so much for reaching out to us regarding your Quest 3 not being connected to a Wi-Fi connection. We understand you have dual-band routers (5 GHz and 2.4 GHz).

We are glad you have disabled the dual-band feature so that it fixes the problem. Disabling the dual-band feature of the router allows the headsets to be on the same channel. This may help the headset from joining another channel, which can affect the Wi-Fi signal. Please feel free to reach out to us if you need any other assistance.
