I've been using my quest 2 fine since I got it, without any issues whatsoever. I bring this up because after using it the other night, also without any issues—two days later, its not working.
There is no headset tracking, nor are my controllers working properly. The controllers simply vibrate and flash over and over and over.
I went through the typical support suggestions I've seen on here previously such as
1. Cleaning the cameras
2. Rebooting via the button combo
3. Removing controller batteries and reseating them.
4. Factory reset*
5. Unpairing the controllers and attempting to re-pair them.**
-Unfortunately, since there is no tracking on the device whatsoever, I cannot complete the device setup process.
-I've tried using the horizon app to unpair and re-pair my controllers, but I'm running into weird issues with this.
The headset will often not connect, and need me to re-pair.
Unpairing the controllers often lags, or simply does not work, sitting there 'unpairing' the controller indefinitely
any controller unpair command, or pair command, will disconnect the headset from the app.
By spamming the unpair and confirm unpair button, I was able to somehow unpair the controllers. However, now the controllers do not pair. The headset will always immediately disconnect when I hit the menu button and the letter button combo to pair.
-Due to me being unable to continue to setup process, I am unsure if the headset is updating to the newest firmware.
Attempting to sideload any firmware does not work. The device disconnects and restarts at 47%
I attempted to side load 69.0.0.408.352.634140544 and 68.0.0.461.364.626311096 with no success
The device is still in the set up menu, and I cannot progress past it.
-while starting the headset, the boot time is notably longer since this issue has appeared.
-Also while starting the headset, the display, not the actual physical display/lens, flickers once or twice. Its consistent and repeats every startup.
-Swinging the headset (safely!) around a few times and putting it back on my head return HMD tracking for 3 to 5 seconds, before the tracking bug out, skews to one direction for a few seconds, and then centers to the menu without tracking being functional any more. This is also consistent, and repeats every time.
There was no damage sustained to headset or controllers on the last use date. It sat on a pillow for two days while I was at work.
What in the world is going on here???
I'm really confused. It doesn't seem like physical damage, or internal damage.
