Hi! So earlier tonight when I was playing some beatsabre, everything was working fine.
I got bored of that and ended up wanting to browse the store, then got prompted to log in with meta, prompted to update, so, reluctantly I did.
It had been a few months since I updated my device, so it took a couple minutes and when it was done I immediately noticed some problems with tracking and that my controllers didn't work. It was glitching out and I had to make multiple attempts to unlock the device and then to turn it off (it kept sticking so I couldn't even use the volume key to press restart for about 3 minutes).
For the most part I was able to work around this and get hand tracking working but my controllers just wouldn't track. I spammed the buttons and nothing happened.home key didn't do anything.
I restarted my headset a few times, took the batteries out, replaced them, restarted my headset again, tried to unpair the controllers in the app (didn't do anything), I restarted my headset again, went through the app and tried to unpair them again (still nothing)
I tried to pair them each but that didn't work either. I could get the left one to buzz and the light to flash about 50% of the time when I tried but it just didn't do anything. I cant tell if the right one would've done that because if I click pair right controller it starts trying to pair the left one.
The left one buzzes intermittently and the right one has its light on when the headset is on (consistently) and doesn't do anything at all

I dont know what fixed it. Maybe it updated? I don't know. Both of them are working now. Right as I gave up. Its pretty sweet and I'll be on the lookout for funkiness but like. If you have this problem I don't know what to say. Godspeed

This might be a really dumb question but how do I do this? Do I ask about one controller at a time? Neither of them are working and Im afraid to choose just one and not get support for the other one.

Ive been afraid to factory reset so far because the setup requires controllers but I'm gonna do that in the meantime because I realize I should try that before contacting support. I will close this if that works. If it doesn't I will comment here for anyone who's having that problem so they know to contact support. It makes me sad to think my saves will not survive but I'd rather do this now than waste everyones time
Edit 2: what the hell it literally did not work until right before I was about to reset one of them buzzed and turned on??? Definitely whack behavior but my left controller / headsets ability to connect lives on!!! What the heck seriously. I spent hours earlier repeating the same steps and nothing worked. Maybe it finally paired?? Shouldn't take days to do that but I uh . Yeah I'm ecstatic and confused
